Performance pics
Here are some pics from a recent performance at the Oregon Coalition of Dance's annual festival. I did an Inclusive Dance piece on each night (Removing the restrictions that prevent participation of people with disabilities). Pics shown are friday and sunday. Click on the little pics to make them big. Go to:
In 2002, I began to teach ballet and ballet influenced modern dance to Autistic college students, and after choreographing a pas de quatre for performance, I worked toward expanding my performance groups to include people with many types of disabilities. Dance styles now include Jazz and Japanese influence contemporary dance. I like to travel to autism conferences to spread the love of dance to Autistic adults, and to expand people’s fluency with self-advocacy and Autistic culture. I earned my Master’s in Theater Arts with coursework emphasis in disability and the performing arts from Portland State University and I did my undergad at Washington State University in Social Science.
